Counting the Days to the 2009 CCC!
Team Links for Life is back for a 3rd California Coast Classic. Our 2009 team consists of veteran riders Dave Strobelt and Jeff Fredericks and "the new guy", Steve Divney.
Links for Life California - www.linksforlifeca.com - a charitable Foundation of Colliers International that has raised nearly $500,000 since 2007, is helping to sponsor our Team again this year. In 2007, Team L4L was the top fundraising team in Northern California. With the help of Links for Life and our friends and family, we hope to have similar success in 2009.
With that said, we also plan to surpass the “fun-factor” of 2007 and to arrive safely in Santa Monica with great stories to share from every day of the ride!
Proceeds from the CCC support research to find a cure for and prevention of arthritis, the leading cause of disability to the U.S. We have riders on our Team such as David Strobelt and Steve Divney, who suffer from arthritis personally, while Jeff Fredericks has a young child with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. More than 250,000 children in the U.S. suffer from some form of arthritis. While research has significantly changed the outcomes for children with arthritis in just the last ten years, there is much more that needs to be done and your donations will help to make a difference.
